Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Level: L7
Reports To: Laboratory Technologist
Context/Scope:
The Brewery operations are focused on our three sites, – Ogba, Benin and Aba. And all sites have quality functions within their structure.
Purpose of Role:
To ensure bench work quality control determination are carried out in accordance with GNPLC quality procedures and specifications for the attainment of high quality products
Principal Accountabilities:
Determination and reporting of analytical parameters, as appropriate and as specified. Working within guidelines to ensure that results are repeatable and aligned to other laboratories on an interchange basis.
Working with the appropriate parts of the supply function (as required) to assist them in delivering products of the highest quality in terms of content and presentation.
Acting as a member of the Quality team, and displaying the behaviours expected of a strong team player.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
§ OND or HND in physical, chemical or biological sciences.
§ On the job experience, having worked for minimum of 2 years in a laboratory environment.
§ Result oriented.
§ Very good communication skills.
§ Good interpersonal skills.
Barriers to Success in Role:
As the business will rely on the quality of the output from the individual to make business decisions around the quality of its components and products, lack of a very responsible attitude to work will be a hindrance to the individual. Similarly, a low boredom threshold will be a problem.

Work across our business with support from West Africa Hub and Brand Technical Centre in Dublin to deliver high quality product to our consumers.

Carry out designated analyses promptly and accurately in line with Guinness Nigeria PLC (GNPLC) work procedure and ensure results are well-documented on-line, notebooks and on-line Kalamazoo and results sent to user dept promptly.

1. Insights generation from analysis of customer usage & behavioral data to inform acquisition initiatives
2. Implementation of customer driven as well as Sales & Distribution channel led activities to achieve Airtel NG’s prepaid Gross Adds and REC targets

2. Effective and efficient liaison with the Sales & Distribution verticals to deliver quality Gross Adds leading to growth in REC and Revenues
• To identify the new segments for prepaid acquisition and therefore plan and implement the strategy to penetrate the same with leadership position.
• To conduct consumer and trade research on periodic basis to identify new opportunities for acquisition.
• To design/implement suitable consumer and trade schemes so as to acquire revenue-paying customers.
• To analyse and identify channel partner ROI enhancement opportunities.
• To design and implement channel incentive program to achieve the desired REC net adds target.
• To facilitate sales team to achieve the desired REC net adds target through conceptualising and implementing suitable sales incentive programs
• To plan and monitor acquisition cost.
3. Incremental Share of Net Adds
• To identify the key strengths of competition and plan key tactics to get incremental share of net adds from competition
• To coordinate handsets strategy to gain market share and counter competition
4. Customer Delight measure in terms of Schemes and Promotions
• Track and monitor the demand planning process to ensure sufficient SIM stock availability across the zones and ensure 30 day buffer stock at all times
• Work closely with and design initiatives with the CSD team to ensure zero impact of ongoing SIM registration requirement on gross adds targets
5. Reporting
• prepare and consolidate reports and trackers on various prepaid acquisition strategies to show trends, ROI and impact to aid effective business decisions
6. Revenue enhancement
• Effective liaison with technical, market planning and relevant zonal sales teams to ensure optimal BTS deployment, launch and utilization
